La Finestra literally means "the window" in Italian and it started with the idea to give our clients a look (as if through a window) into the tastes and cultures of Latin and South American countries, with the owners and cooks having both lived and spent much time abroad, our philosophy is to provide a fun, authentic variety of foods and services, while still having the flexibility to customize and personalize our client's wishes and ideas. We offer anything from Mexican carne asada, Dominican rice and beans, Belizean chicken and rice, Cuban skirt steaks and dishes, to authentic Argentinean barbequed chicken and beef.

We began as a family-owned business that has roots dating back to 1955. The Startup catering family began in San Gabriel California and we since have branched out to all of Southern California. La Finestra started with a drive to be the premiere caterer in Orange County and we have made a resolution to offer the highest-quality food, variety, service and cheerful staff that one would expect to receive for their special occasion.

La Finestra catering has a vision of variety and fun, fused into fine cuisine and a cheerful atmosphere. We pride ourselves on having the experience, practicality and variability to offer anything from the simplest buffet to the most elegant served dinner. Our services range from kids party meals, to outdoor corporate barbeques, to artful, elegant wedding receptions with all the trimmings.

We also offer traditional Italian, Hawaiian, American, and European dishes. In addition, we have aromatic tastes of India and the orient and much more. We have the flexibility to let you choose from our exquisite menu or create a custom menu of the client's choosing.

Our corporate events menu ranges from simple sandwich or pasta buffets, barbeque specialties, cold side selections with plastic wares to more upscale, all-inclusive cuisine creations, various buffet stations, chocolate fountains with your choice of chocolate and accompaniments, or creative appetizer creations passed around. We can provide services to anywhere from 20 to 1000 people and can come to your location or help you find the perfect location for your event.

La Finestra also specializes in wedding receptions, offering delicious buffet selections or sit -down elegance. We have an extensive list of features including linens, chair-covers, servers, buffet and head table decorations. Chinaware, silverware and glassware are included in most packages. We provide additional services such as fresh flower centerpieces, wedding cakes, toast (champagne and sparkling cider) personalized cake napkins and all the necessary accompaniments to make your wedding most memorable.

In offering our services to Orange County we are focusing on corporate events and wedding receptions, but also offer quinceaneras, baptisms, family reunions, church or city events, anniversaries and just about any occasion you might celebrate.
